24 Hour Mountain Bike Trip to Wilson Creek

With only 2 days notice, the Misfit Mountainerds decided to make a 24 hour mountain bike trip to the Wilson Creek area of Pisgah National Forest near Grandfather Mountain.

Starting at 5pm on a rainy Saturday, we loaded up and drove to the Misfit Mountain outpost in Boone, NC. After liquid carb loading and a decent night’s rest, we drove south outta Boone to Wilson Creek. It was cold and snowy to start the day, but eventually got warm and sunny. And there was much riding up hills, walking down hills, and riding down the hills that didn’t exceed our minimal expertise.
